Sharing is caring!

There is nothing I love more than baking up a storm for Christmas. I love handing plates out of homemade cookies and candy from scratch. Nothing says Merry Christmas to me like homemade goodness! BUT that requires a lot of baking. I mean ALOT of time in the kitchen. So to make life easier ( because there’s so much to do around Christmas time) I am taking a little time to make ahead my favorite Christmas cookies.

Prepping the dough and freezing it ahead of time, saves so much time when you want to hand out cookies to all your neighbors and friends. Every year I make the same Christmas cookies. I often throw in a couple new recipes but these are my basic four favorite cookies I always make.

The traditional line is…drum roll please….

Chocolate Cherry Cheesecake Bars

Chocolate Raspberry Thumbprint Cookies

Basic Sugar Cutout Cookies

and Chewy Molasses Ginger Cookies (since I’m not sharing my friends secret family recipe, here is the closest recipe i could find.)

I’ve picked up these recipes along the way. Each has a sentimental memory to them. And Christmas just wouldn’t be the same without them.
